The STRAIGHT SHOOTER PRE-AMP BOOSTER is a clean, transparent pre-amp booster unit designed to add headroom and harmonic content to your sound, offering two different levels of volume increase (17dB or 22 dB) and ensuring silent, true by pass function. Thanks to its FET-input operational amplifier that lies at its heart -designed for enhanced AC performance, very low distortion, very low noise and wide bandwidth- the Straight Shooter Pre-Amp Booster will provide superior performance in almost every application requiring excellent dynamic and harmonic results.
CONTROLS – FEATURES
.Volume control increases the overall volume of the pedal, setting the boost at the desired level
.Tone control sets the overall frequency response of the pedal (turning the knob to the left boosts the low frequencies under 200Hz and cuts the higher frequencies over 500Hz, while turning right boosts the high frequencies over 500Hz and cuts the low frequencies under 200Hz.)
.Bass-Guitar switch allows separate handling of low frequency response.
.Footswitch 1 (Left): Τhis switch turns the pedal on and off while adding 17dB of volume increase to the input signal. The White On/Off Led (left) will show if the pedal is on or off.
.Footswitch 2 (Right) – This switch adds 5 dB of volume increase, totaling in overall boost of 22 dB. The Blue Led (right) will show if the extra 5 dB boost is activated. This footswitch is not functioning when the pedal is off.
.Led White (On-off). This led shows if the pedal is on or off and if the 17dB boost is activated. When this led is off you are in (true) bypass mode.
.Led Blue (+ 5 dBs). This led shows if the +5 dB boost is activated.
.Input Jack: Signal input is via this ¼ jack on the right side of the top part of the pedal. When plug is placed into the instrument input jack, the pedal is always power on, regardless the footswitch 1 is off or on.
.Output Jack: Signal output is via this ¼ jack on the left side of the top part of the pedal.
.Power Jack: This is a standard 2.1mm, center negative power jack. The Straight Shooter runs on a 9V-18 V DC input preferring 12V-18V for higher performance. Due to the potentially high gains of the Straight Shooter, use a high quality regulated supply. The pedal draws about 10mA when in operation. Warning: be careful with the polarity of external power supply.
